Contraptions 1999-2000

CONTRAPTIONS is a series of mechanical devices which seek to prevent bad habits and rectify behaviour. Each in the series is fully functional - clamping, fixing and extending in order to restrict the body's movements in a specific way. Drinking, smoking, gossiping, scratching and other unconscious tics become seriously curtailed.
